Stopping a download ps4

User Info: TekTheNinja TekTheNinja 4 years ago 1 I've been trying to download this game since it came out and eventually did, but after the update file refused to download at all I decided to just delete the entire game and redownload it. Now it's going ridiculously slow and when I go into rest mode whenever I come back it says cannot download and I have to click for it to resume. What am I supposed to do? Why is this download giving me so much trouble?

Hope they address this rather sooner than later. Oct 27, 1, I had this issue with my AC Valhalla. I got "around" this problem by setting my PS5 to install PS4 games to the external drive and making sure my external drive doesn't have enough free space to install the PS4 version of Valhalla.

It is a really dumb work around but this is the only cross-gen game I currently own so well, it works for now. I stopped the download, deleted the files, and then set the version to PS5 to re-download. This worked, but the game icon sitting in my Home Screen will switch over to the PS4 version and ask me to download it pretty frequently, even though the PS5 version is already on my system.

It is annoying for sure. You would think they would have put more thought into it before launch but oh well. I'm sure they will update it later. Did you try to download it the first time it happened, thinking it might be a patch, only to realize it was downloading the PS4 version of the game?
